Subclass 482 TSS Visa
TSS stands for Temporary Skill Shortage visa,
which is a type of visa that allows skilled
workers to come to Australia to fill labor shortages.
It replaced the 457 visa in March 2018
The TSS visa has two streams

Subclass 186 TRT Stream
The 186 TRT (Temporary Residence Transition) visa is a pathway to permanent residency in Australia for temporary visa holders who have been working in Australia on a Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa (subclass 482) or a related visa for at least three years.
To be eligible for the 186 TRT visa

Being nominated by an Australian employer who is willing to offer them a permanent position in their business.

Having worked for that employer in Australia on a TSS visa or a related visa for at least three years in the same position that they are being nominated for.

The 186 TRT visa is part of the Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS), which allows Australian employers to sponsor skilled workers from overseas to work in Australia on a permanent basis.
Once the 186 TRT visa is granted, the visa holder is entitled to live and work in Australia permanently, and they can also include their family members in the visa application.
